At K9-129 we use International Training methods to train K9’s, not only did Adrien  gain tremendous experience but also developed some of his own unique training methods and techniques for both K9 and Handler.

After numerous work experiences Internationally, Adrien noticed the need for well trained handlers and K9’s, this however after assisting , asstablishing two K9 International units, Training several Nationalities and K9’s in hostile countries and with three continuously 100% successful accreditations  with the United Nations he decided  to forth fill this dream to provide K9 handlers with his knowledge and  to train  handlers and K9’s. On this motivation K9-129  became a reality and opened their doors  to all  Nationals and Internationals who want to follow the career path of K9 handling and detection work.

OUR EXPERIENCE

CEO Adrien  Brown is a well experienced Security officer, with an extensive background in the various methods.  He received the South African Police Honour Medal from the Minister of Safety and Security as well as the Goldfields Honour Medal for Courage and Faith for tracking down suspects with his K9. After his departure from the police, Adrien spent several years working in the private security sector, before deploying to the Middle East in 2005 and several other countries, where he expanded his knowledge and work experience with K9’s and other fields.

This assignment was followed by numerous missions abroad, during the period 2005 to 2018, where he was responsible for many aspects of K9 detection such as a vehicle, buildings, luggage at Airports, suspicious parcels and open area searches.  During this time, Adrien also educated and trained his counterparts in EDD handling and training techniques.

•In 2007 he established and trained Explosive and Narcotic K9’s and a group of Iraqi security Forces for the International Airport in Sulumanaya, Kurdistan, Iraq.  In 2007 he trained also a group of Iraqi security Forces as Explosive detection dog handlers and K9’s for the President of Iraq, he was responsible for access control to  the Presidential compound, venue searches, and road clearances before the departure and arrival of the President and Vise Presidents He was part of the Presidential security team.
•During Adrien’s employment with the United Nations heaccomplished three continuously 100% successful accreditations on the United Nations standards. During Adrien’s employment, he held several positions as Sergeant Detective, Explosive Patrol Dog Handler, Trainer/Instructor K9’of handler, Security Guards, Close Protection, Firearm instructor, Mentor, EDD Support Manager, Relieve Project Manager and Project Manager.
